The Licenses of Agricultural Dealers

Dealers in agricultural products must be licensed and bonded.

Agricultural product dealers are required to hold a license and bond. In order to obtain a license, they need to submit an Application for Agricultural Products Dealer License [Adobe PDF Document], pay a fee, and provide a certificate of deposit or surety bond. A claim could be made by the manufacturer if a dealer doesn’t pay for the goods. The agricultural product must be delivered or sold within six months of the complaint being made. A $50 filing fee must be paid by the complainant for each complaint that is submitted. Money is removed from the dealer’s bond and given to the producer if the claim is upheld.
